Daraja is currently seeking a Monitoring and Research Advisor, as an international internship position.
The role includes advising and supporting on the development and operations of monitoring and evaluation systems for Daraja's innovative programmes as well as working on a series of short research projects on local governance and accountability issues.
The position is suitable for a current student or recent graduate on a Masters Degree programme in International Development (or a similar subject). The successful applicant will have solid research skills and a strong commitment to promoting citizens' agency and government accountability.
It is a 12 month position starting September 2011, based in Njombe, Tanzania.

The International Internship arrangements include a return flight to Tanzania, basic housing, medical insurance and a salary at local rates. It is an unaccompanied position that does not include any support for partners, children or other dependents.
