Position Description:
Tanzania Bureau of standards (TBS) is Tanzania’s sole standards body, formerly established by the standards Act No.3 of 1975, which was repealed and replaced by the standards
Act No.2 of 2009.
It is a Parastatal Organization under the Ministry of industry and Trade.
The bureau is looking for suitably, competent, dynamic and committed Tanzanians to this vacancy.
Qualification and Experience:
Holder of Full Technician Certificate (FTC) or NTA Level 6 in civil Engineering or equivalent, with three (3) years work experience
Duties and Responsibilities
• Reports to the head of the Maintenance section
• Maintenance of the bureau’s equipment
• Assists in maintenance of specialized equipment/apparatus
• Interpretation of preventive maintenance reports, follow-up and rectification of detected faults
• Check on daily maintenance routines
• Any other related duties as may be assigned by the head of section
