The Supply Chain Management Systems (SCMS) project is part of the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief.
The goal of this contract is to establish and operate safe, secure, reliable and sustainable supply chain management systems to procure pharmaceuticals and other products needed to provide care and treatment of persons with HIV/AIDS and related infections.
SCMS offers services in focus countries identified by the Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator and USAID, with SCMS field offices established in selected countries as required by the scope of work in the country.
The partnership is seeking to recruit for the following position in Kenya:
Program Associate, Laboratory Logistics
The Program Associate, Laboratory Logistics supports the laboratory commodity supply chain with forecasting, quantification and distribution activities including order management, followup, warehouse management, delivery and reverse Logistics (for defective, expired and excess products).
The incumbent will also assist in the development, installation and implementation of appropriate databases for the logistics of laboratory products as well as facilitate the delivery and distribution of laboratory commodities in a timely manner to ensure a continuous supply to facilities.
Applicants will possess a minimum of a Higher National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science with at least 8 years relevant experience or a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, with 5 years relevant experience.
Applicants will also be registered with The Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians’ and Technologists’ Board (KMLTTB)
Candidates with experience supporting HIV/ AIDS programs and in the operations and troubleshooting of haematology, chemistry and viral load instruments will have a distinct advantage.
This position requires a candidate with personal initiative and high integrity.
Relocation and post allowances are not available for the position.
