Project Concern International (PCI) began operations in Tanzania in 2008. In cooperation with its local implementing partner, ADRA Tanzania, and its collaborating partner, WaterAid Tanzania, PCI is implementing a comprehensive and sustainable water and sanitation and hygiene education program in the Manyara Region in the northeast region of the country designed to make a lasting impact in the health and well-being of Tanzanian families and communities.

Community Mobilizer (10 vacancies)
Implement community mobilization activities for Food for Education (FFE) Project in respective ward(s) in agriculture, education, economic development, health, and water and sanitation in close coordination with other stakeholders including Village government authorities; Facilitate the bringing together of schools, communities and other stakeholders to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate the project; Stimulate involvement of parents, teachers, School Committees, community leaders, and local government authorities in improving school enrolment and attendance, healthy learning environment, quality learning environment and sustainability of learning environment through awareness creation, technical support, capacity building, and coordination of activities at ward level; Support in trainings, supervisions, follow-ups at ward, village, and school levels; Monitor the receipt, storage, handling, preparation and distribution of food commodities for the provision of school based meals to primary and pre-primary school students; Ensure capacity building to communities to participate in the project; Implement designed activities, both on and off-school, to promote health, improve educational quality, and increase sustainable food production, financial capacity, and/or social capital to support school feeding activities; Link the program with stakeholders at ward and village level.
REQUIREMENTS: At least a Diploma in Social Sciences, Education, Agriculture, Economics, Community Development or other relevant field, or at least 4 years of relevant community based experience; Willingness to work and live at ward level with monthly visits to district capitol; Ability and official license to ride a motorcycle; Computer literacy; Fluent English and Kiswahili (written and spoken); Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
DESIRED: At least 2 years of community-based experience; Residents of Musoma or Bunda District strongly preferred, or otherwise high level of familiarity with the respective districts.
