WORK STATION: TAA – Headquarters and JNIA
Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) is a Government Executive Agency established to operate, manage, maintain and develop Government owned airports with a commercially oriented Management style. As Part of implementing its Organizational Structure.
The candidates will report to the Principal Network Administrator and will be responsible for the following responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze Design, Creates and Maintain TAA DNS and user accounts. Maintenance of T AA Exchange Server
Installation, configuration and maintenance of security software (Anti virus, Anti Spam, Web Monitors, Microsoft ISA Servers, Endpoint protection)
Evaluates hardware and software requirements;
Assists in installing, configuration and supporting new hardware and application software for client;
Installs, configures and support new hardware and application software and software infrastructure for server and Network;
Cooperates with network administration and hardware systems sections to identify system platform, components and dependencies;
Performs maintenance activities, data and system backups and restore; Develops and maintenance of systems technical documentations; Coordinate, communicate and document changes in system configuration. Performs maintenance activities, data and systems backups and Restoration; Performs quality assurance metrics;
Monitor and maintain servers for optimal network performance. Develop and implement preventive maintenance plan for servers.
Plan, Develop and implement the overall strategic goals of the servers infrastructure. Participates in disaster recovery and business continuity planning process.
Advices procurement unit on office system applications purchases and venfy agam t required specifications.
To perform any other duty as may assigned from time to time by the Manager IT.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or similar from a recognized Institution.
2. International Certification in System engineering preferably Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification, or Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) and Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) on Windows Server 2008 certifications. With at least one year experience in system administration.
Salary Scale: Competitive package as per T AA Scales.
Age Limit: Not more than 35 years of age.
